Serving Children from 6 weeks - 10 Year Olds

To help with limiting traffic flow throughout the day we are offering custom block child care for a set weekly semester schedule up to 30 hours:

Full Block: 7AM-11AM

Full Block: 11AM-3PM Please note: There will be no drop off or pick-up between our quiet hours between 12PM-2PM

Half Block: 3PM-5PM

Half Block: 5PM-7PM currently only offered on days that have three children needing care during this time. This block is usually combined and multiage to provide low cost to families.

Current Families: This center observes University of Utah Holidays and Closure Days. Our UKids – Presidents Circle follows the academic calendar for start and end dates. We offer interim care (at normal hourly rate/ preregistration required) from November 30th - Thursday, December 3rd when the U classes are online, finals week care (free for students/ preregistration required), and break care (at normal hourly rate).

Yellow Room: One of our infant toddler classroom priority goes to any U affiliation that qualify* for Early Head Start Services with a partnership to serve low income families at the U. The order of acceptance is EHS accepted family U affiliation, U students, U faculty and staff, then community members- eight spots are for EHS families, we only serve eight children at a time in that classroom. This classroom though in partnership is not a traditional Head Start program and tuition is charged. We offer tiered rates for our U affiliates.

*Some ways to qualify for our classroom: you must have an annual household income (before taxes) that is less than or equal to 130% of the poverty line or children in foster care, homeless children, and children from families receiving public assistance (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families or Supplemental Security Income) are also eligible for Head Start and Early Head Start services regardless of income.

School Age Child Care Information:

Presidents Circle will offer unique scheduling around you and your family’s needs. They provide convenient block scheduling for up to 30 hours a week. Choose from customizable blocks like 7am to 11am, 11am to 3pm, 3pm to 5pm, 5pm to 7pm, any amount of days of the week, Monday through Friday. As an example: if you have different schedules on Monday and Thursday’s, this would be the option for you. It allows for flexibility at its fullest to allow for a perfect care schedule while you work or study and balance an A-B schedule for your school-ager. Your child will be welcome to bring a device from home to work on distance learning assignments as we recognize these days are still for remote learning. Our established teachers are here to aid the child, along with your child’s elementary teachers, to strengthen your child’s ability to finish coursework and homework each day.

Start Date: August 24th and on going

Contact the Program Coordinator, Arie Barnes at if you are interested in this program and would like to begin the enrollment process.

Please note: Priority enrollment is given to Student Parents at the University of Utah at this center.
